Where It All Began | 2013
FLEURI Flowers began in 2013, long before preserved flowers were widely known in Australia.
In my home country, Japan, preserved flowers were already a much-loved gift. I often sent them to family and friends, and I was especially fascinated by preserved roses, with their beautiful appearance and surprisingly soft, natural feel.
I wanted more people in Australia to discover this wonderful way of enjoying real flowers.
That little wish became the beginning of FLEURI.
Growing Beyond Preserved Flowers | 2021
For our first eight years, we focused exclusively on preserved flowers. While I loved their elegance and softness, the limited variety of available flowers sometimes left me wishing for more.
I've always been drawn to things with a little history and character: vintage furniture, country-style interiors, natural materials and the gentle beauty of imperfect things.
I dreamed of offering flowers that reflected this warm, nostalgic feeling.
In 2021, we began introducing naturally dried flowers alongside our preserved collection.
Combining the softness and flexibility of preserved blooms with the rich textures and character of dried flowers opened up a whole new world of floral design.
Our collections gradually grew to include a wider variety of thoughtfully designed bouquets, vase arrangements and individual flower stems, allowing us to explore different colours, styles and textures.
Along the way, we also discovered the incredible diversity of flowers grown here in Australia.
Local growers, small farms and even generous people offering flowers from their own properties have helped us discover beautiful and sometimes unexpected botanical treasures.
These connections continue to inspire our work and make FLEURI feel like something more than just a flower shop.
Bringing the Flower-Choosing Experience Online | 2026
Over the years, we have often been asked whether we would open a physical shop.
We have considered it many times, and we're genuinely grateful for the interest.
However, we have chosen to remain an online flower boutique.
Working online allows our small team to focus on carefully selecting, preparing and storing our flowers in suitable conditions, without the additional handling and display exposure that comes with a traditional shopfront. It also helps us offer a wide variety of flowers at reasonable prices.
Of course, there has always been one thing I wished we could offer: the simple pleasure of exploring flowers and choosing your favourites as though you were browsing them in person.
The idea for FLEURI Basket 🌿 first came to me around five years ago.
After years of imagining how we could make choosing flowers online more interactive, visual and enjoyable, we finally brought that idea to life in October 2026.
With FLEURI Basket, you can explore individual flower stems, see how different flowers look together and select your favourites for your own floral creations.
It's designed to help you choose flowers for arranging yourself, bringing a little of the flower-shopping experience into your home.
While nothing can completely replace holding real flowers in your hands, we hope this little dream, five years in the making, makes choosing flowers online a more enjoyable and personal experience.
And just like FLEURI itself, we hope FLEURI Basket will continue to grow and improve over time.
What Matters to Us
Although FLEURI has grown and changed over the years, the things we care about have remained much the same.
We believe in the beauty of real flowers, their natural colours, textures and individual character.
We take particular care in selecting and preparing our flowers, appreciating that no two stems are exactly alike.
Whether we're creating a bouquet, arranging flowers in a vase or preparing individual stems for your own creations, we want every order to reflect the care and attention we put into our work.
Dried and preserved flowers are not everlasting in the literal sense. Their colours and appearance naturally change over time, and we believe this evolving beauty is part of their charm.
Our hope is simply to help you enjoy the beauty of real flowers in a way that suits your home, your creativity and your everyday life.

We often receive wholesale enquiries, but unfortunately we are not able to offer wholesale pricing, as FLEURI is a small retail boutique rather than a wholesaler. Our focus is on sourcing and preparing a wide variety of beautiful flowers and sharing them directly with flower lovers.
However, our Stems & Bunches collection offers a wide variety of individual stems and bulk bunches, with our Creator's Discount of up to 20% off eligible stems automatically applied at checkout. This may be particularly helpful for floral designers, retailers and customers working on larger creative projects.
